Hector Bellerin’s latest injury vlog proved to be something of an emotional rollercoaster for viewers, with the young Spaniard confessing fears over his comeback.

Hector ruptured a cruciate ligament in his knee during January’s Premier League victory over Chelsea, leaving him sidelined for up to nine months.

Since then, he has sought to chart his progress in a series of YouTube vlogs, with the latest instalment landing on March 14.

In it, though, Hector cuts a sombre figure, telling fans of his nagging doubts over pain he is still experiencing in his knee.

He said: “I’m a bit worried in my head now because everything was going so good. Even if you look at the knee right now, the knee looks amazing compared to how it looked 10 days ago.

“I don’t want to say I’m a hypochondriac but obviously I’ve never had this stuff so I don’t know if this is supposed to happen, or is it not? Even though everyone is saying that it’s normal, the way I feel the pain, I’m not sure it’s that normal.”

He went on: “I just hope it’s one of those things and nothing else happens from here.”

With world class medical care at his disposal, I’m sure Hector’s rehabilitation is in good hands, even if the right back has us all sweating with his existential angst.
